We had a sweet stay in the Berry Patch Cabin. The place is super cute with comfy beds and a gas fireplace, but it was a bummer the deck wasn't shoveled after the snow. Couldn't get solid wifi, tho. The restaurant was nice for dinner and the staff was friendly. Just wish the check-out chores weren't a thing.

during my solo stay, I enjoyed the breathtaking views at Roughlock Falls Trail just a short walk away, which made my hiking experience unforgettable, while the cozy communal space with a fireplace really added to the inviting ambiance of the lodge, perfect for unwinding after a long day outdoors.

Spearfish Canyon Lodge is a hidden gem! The staff were super polite, and the cozy outdoor hot tubs paired perfectly with stunning canyon views. We loved enjoying delicious meals at the Latchstring Restaurant and found the hiking trails nearby absolutely amazing.

The breathtaking log cabin ambiance and stunning surroundings make this lodge a true gem. Enjoyed the fresh croissants and the convenience of a nearby restaurant with great outdoor seating. However, encountering unfriendly front desk staff during multiple interactions was disappointing, detracting from an otherwise wonderful experience. The location remains a highlight, especially with access to scenic hiking trails.

The lobby was so inviting, I half expected a friendly bear to offer me a slice of pie while I settled in. The views from our spacious suite were nothing short of breathtaking, rivaling a postcard from the Black Hills. The hot tubs were a perfect way to unwind, with a view that would make any sunset jealous.

Weak cell service

I had a great half day UTV rental where the staff helped me navigate trails using GPS. They suggested stops that made the trip enjoyable. It reminded me of the adventurous road trips I take around Italy with my partner. The service made everything easy for us to explore the area.

The Wi-Fi connection was not good. I also found the walls to be thin. I could hear conversations from adjacent rooms.

Just spent 2 nights in the Roosevelt Suite with my family. The location is stunning, right by waterfall trails, and we loved chilling in the backyard next to the creek. The beds were super comfy. Only bummer was the wifi—kinda spotty at times. The restaurant had some solid menu options, though! Overall, great vibes and lots to do!

I had a blast lounging by the cozy fireplace and indulging in the delicious food across the canyon, it truly felt like a perfect getaway! Although some decor was a bit dated, I’d return for the amazing atmosphere.
